I know that I have said some crazy things in my life, but I think today’s blog post will take the cake. You see, I was out today “window shopping” in the literal sense.
I was shopping for windows in Los Angeles.
It is no joke, though as I write it here at the computer, I can’t help but chuckle a little bit.
I am funny like that.
Anyway, I was out window shopping for my mother. She accidentally broke one of her windows this week while she was cleaning them and she was too embarrassed to go out shopping for a new one for fear that the sales clerk would ask her why she needed a new window.
So, I volunteered to do it for her. I didn’t want her to suffer any kind of shame for the predicament that she found herself in. I tried to explain to her that I did the exact same thing just a couple of years ago when I was off to college, but that didn’t settle her one bit.
It meant I was the one that was going to have to make it happen.
I didn’t find it to be that difficult of a task since I had experience doing it, and honestly I thought it was going to be a bit fun. I am just thankful that she asked me for the help – sometimes she can be too proud to ask.
